Last week, group 3 in maths was learning how to round numbers up to the millions and two decimal places and after learning how to do it we created a DLO explaining how to round so there’s can learn how to round as well. Something that I really like is how we all helped and learned from eachother to create this DLO.
Today in Maths, Miss Fisi’ahi got each Maths group to create a DLO about what we are learning about at the moment. My Maths group was learning how to name place and total values up to Millions and two decimal places and created a DLO explaining how to so that it can teach others who don’t know how to do it. This was a collaborative task and that was my favourite part about it because we could get more information in the DLO.
A few days ago LS2 did a servey on why we don’t come to school sometimes and used the data we got from it to create a bar graph that shows all of the reasons and amount of students that chose the reason and created a DLO explaining it. I really liked this task because it was really cool and fun to learn about and create.
In our camp activity groups we were given a budget of $2,000 to feed 47 students
We chose a menu for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks for $1385.03
We used our smart searching skills to find the best price for the food we wanted.
The maths strategies we used were algorithm addition

Two weeks ago my teacher(Miss Tele’a) Got my class into 6 groups and i was in group 3 and we were all told to make a pressentation that shows what we would do if we were to host a class party and we had exactly 2 weeks to finish it.so we had to pick a budget,foods,decorations etc.also our group had to assign jobs to the people in our group like someone to calculate the prices of things and someone to find foods etc.i was assigned to do the food and stuff.we could also add things that we could make from home too.So i searched for foods on the Pak n Save website i found some foods.i also added the activitys and calculated the price.then we decided who was reading what for when we were gonna presentate to the rest of the groups.then today we pressented to the rest of the groups and did pretty good!bye thanks for reading my blog!

This week we revised what we know about place value.We have also started learning about how a number can be represented in many different ways.Our task was to pick a random number then make that number in many different ways.
