Panmure Basin drawing

When LS2 got back from the walk around the Basin, Mrs Anderson gave us photos that she took of the Basin and bridge and challenged us to create a digital photo using the different line tools on Google draw/slides and Trace one of the photos. I drew this, I really liked this task because it helped me get more better with my digital art sills.

Painting the Town| Mural

For Reading, Mrs Anderson taught her group about the 2011 earthquake that happened in Christchurch and how heavily it effected the community. Then she read us the story that included the group of artists who painted murals or what people called “graffiti” over the town to bring happiness back to the town. Beautiful Murals were painted all over walls in the town and their purposes were to bring life back into the community. Our task was to create a Google draw showing our idea of what we would paint for our community and I wanted to express my Fijian side and created this. Something I enjoyed about this task was being able to use our creativity to create a Mural.

Art | Building our Class Culture

For Inquiry and Art LS2 was split into 7 groups and took on the challenge to recreate a specific leader such as, Malala Yousafai, Jonah Lomu, Kate Shepard and many others in an art piece. The group that I was in chose to recreate Malala Yousafai. Malala Yousafai is a great leader and one of her famous quotes are “One child, one teacher, one book, and one pen can change the world.” What I liked the most about this Art project is the collaboration that took place while completing this task. Because of our colaboration we have created an amazing art piece of the leader great leader Malala Yousafai.

Octopus Oddities|SLJ

For todays Summer Learning Journey activity, we were tasked to pick a octopus and to colour it in online or print it out and use markers and colouring pencils. I coloured this in online and used thecolour.com. I chose a dumbo octopus because I think that they are a cool type of octopus and its one of my favourites type of octopus. Three facts I learned is that Dumbo octopus live up to only 3-5 years, they live on the deep sea floor and every octopus has three hearts and 9 brains!
I really enjoyed this activity because I like octopi the most out of my favourite marine animals.

Spider-web Craft|SLJ

Yesterdays activity got a Step it up. First I watched a video about Spiders and their webs, then I did a quiz about it which had 5 questions. Then I watched a tutorial that taught me how to make a Spider-web and I created this using a penic and a piece of A4 paper and some scissors.
I enjoyed this Summer Learning journey activity because it was a fun craft to create.

Spider-web Art|SLJ

Today, the Summer Learning Journey activity was about spiders and their webs. First we watched a tutorial on how to draw spider webs using a pen and paper. We learned how to draw two types of webs, which was a big and full one and a spider web in a corner. I created this using a pencil and paper and used my creativity to make this drawing. I had one big full spider web in the middle and four spider webs in each corner and I drew a spider hanging down from the big web.
I really liked this Summer Learning Journey activity because I enjoy drawing in my free time.
